Description

The timeline for the delivery of a satellite haemodialysis unit in Ennis has been met with further delays. In May, the Government confirmed a renal care provider had been identified and was in a position to deliver the service towards the end of next year. However, responding to Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor Rita McInerney, the HSE clarified at its latest Regional Health Forum West meeting, that the service is not expected to be up and running until Q2 of 2026. Chair of the Clare Irish Kidney Association Branch Dermot Hayes wants an explanation.
