The focus of this project is to try and help Canadian dairy producers make informed decisions about the health and management of our dairy animals. As an industry, we know we need to continue to strive for excellent animal care, and we know decisions aren’t always straightforward. So we’re developing a toolkit or a series of educational tools and resources to help those that are looking for extra guidance.
This short podcast series reviews animal care issues such as lameness, injury prevention, down cattle, safe handling practices and pain management from a variety of perspectives. Our hope is that each conversation will provide producers with some useful information to consider that they can apply on their farm.
