The Framestore Podcast, our learning and talent development focused podcast made by Framestore, for Framestore, is back this week with another fantastic new episode.
Every two weeks, we invite both a guest from our global Framestore community and a co-host with a keen interest in our guest's role, craft, or career path!... and this week, we have a special focus as we recognise Black History Month!
This week's special guest is Abdou Sako, FX Artist at Framestore Montreal.
Abdou began his VFX career in 2017 at MPC, then worked at Digital Dimension a year later, followed by Reel FX, and joined Method Studios in 2021. Prior to Method Studios, he contributed to projects such as X-Men Dark Phoenix, Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In the past year, Method Studios became Framestore, and he has since worked on The Little Mermaid, Guardians 3, and the upcoming Rebel Moon.
In addition to his role at Framestore, Abdou is also a teacher for AFRO VFX, a free training program whose mission is to bring 3D and VFX education and career paths to the African Continent.
Our co-host for this conversation is Krzysztof Boyoko, London based Lead Animator.
Chris boasts nearly a decade at Framestore with a notable portfolio, encompassing films like Guardians 3, Avengers: Infinity War, both Paddington movies, Detective Pikachu, Fantastic Beasts, Tom and Jerry, and more. Before Framestore, he worked at Frontier Developments in animation, and previously freelanced as a 3D artist, video editor, and compositor.
