Sharup Karin, my guest on the pod, is a talent. The guy is classy, smooth, and one of the nicest and most patient people I know. He has a silky smooth voice that lures you into taking him seriously. He should've been a salesman.
Sharup did the Chicago Comedy Showcase in Edinburgh, Scotland that I produced last year. This was also the first time that I learned, undoubtedly, white privilege exists. Sharup nearly got turned away at the border for the same show that they let me walk in for, nearly no questions asked. He told me that it wasn't the first time, but that once before, years earlier, he had actually been turned away at the UK border!
We talk about race relations in the US, travel, growing up in Oklahoma, and his hilarious show which has toured the US.
