Description

I am a humble Tumbleweed
I journey in an endless spin
at the mercy of the desert winds
And a choice that did me in

Long ago I was blossomed
with my beauty that was awesome
but I thirsted to be free
so I pulled up my roots
and chose to wander
endlessly b& restlessly
ever so restlessly

For decades now I've haunted
this vast
and empty land
turning and burning
and burning and cnurning
over scalding, hot sand

Alone or with others
who tumbled like me
back and forth
here and there
every where
in the howling winds
eternally~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am a sand rider
sailing over the dunes
with the wind as my engine
whistling a sad tune
spreading seeds
that will give birth
to others like me
a vast tribe of nomads
floating by endlessly
wishing for some more standstills
weary of the cruel breeze.....

I was like a hungry soul
who sits all-day
longing for a detour
ignoring their contentment
looking for something more
something over the
horizon beside despair,

but then they headed off
to find nothing while
not getting what they wished for
leaving loves and
friends and families
In a journey to succeed
till suicidal tendencies
cut their choices
and they'd bleed.....eeed.

Sometimes there are glimpses
as their spirits pass us by
tumbling on into oblivion
with long and lonesome cries.

Much like me a humble tumbleweed
always sailing in an endless spin
to the life I've missed and back again
to that choice that did me in.

I am a humble Tumbleweed
take note as I pass on
my life was once so beautiful
Please remember where I've gone
Please remember where I've gone.

Always think twice
before you move on
lest you wind up with no bind
no fixed place to rest upon
facing empty nights and dawns

Wandering and never finding
what you sought when you began
till your skeletal remains at last
disintegrate with your plans
