She asked “Are you awake?.”
and I said “Yes I am,”
then quietly she inquired
“Is something bothering you?"
and I replied “No, Not really….Baby”

and thinking that it’s
been a while.

Then she propped herself
up next to me and

reaffirmed our dedication

had become undone
all around us...
and even married couple
tend to find that a
late night tryst is fun……
And she sighed before
she fell asleep
after all her high
soprano sighs
had faded Breathlessly..
"That we really should meet
more like this….."
and I told her "I agree>"
and then she whispered
that she loved me
before we both
fell into dreams
that held such
deep, deep sleep.
