My mind has become a desert
My thoughts wandering aimlessly
thirsty for all that my
body and soul have been denied
since I was banished from
the oasis of your love.
Lips parched
from the absence
of your sweet,
liquid kisses
nights bitter cold
and long days spent
wallowing through
the heat of despair
how it burns me
to be without you
with no course left set
On my journey through
the wastelands
of the loveless
My path crosses the
shallow graves

most freshly dug
