We're getting old now
and no one told us how
we could do it gracefully??
All the lines on our faces
as time erases
all of our younger days
No one told us the truth.
That old is a cottage
down by the sea
where you go
and throw away
all of our keys
to our future
that soon enough will be
the past you leave
and all you can do is grieve
all you can do is grieve.
Only your memories
will be your thera-peace
bringing comfort to you
on your crippled knees.
You've just got to let it be
until your soul's set free
and then you will be....
......young again
back with all of your friends
and there will be no end.......!
We all have to age
erased from history's page
it's just part of the process
and nobody can guess
when your aging is done
and your new life is begun
