The streetlights glare
and just as quickly they vanish
blurred by these tears in my eyes
that i can't seem to banish.

Those double yellow lines
have denied me my cross
but they've nailed me
far to close to you
And they offer no pass
to distance me from your loss,
and leave me trafficking in my blues
