The world weaves on
all around us, unseen
in our rush through
the hub-bub of daily life.
Silk strands hang
blended in delicate patterns,
as a spider suckles on
the fly that annoyed us yesterday.
Snail trails lie painted from
many tic-tac-toes that
moved so slow all across
the black asphalt canvas
of the driveways.
A lady bug leaves a
very unladylike deposit
in the bed of a tulip.
A tear falls three houses
away, silent condensation
from a life hanging in
the balance of despair.
where there's no relief
from her grief,
A hammer falls on a
brass cap, as lead is
propelled into the heart
of a twenty-year old
in far off Iraq.
the President sits in
his oval office,
surrounded by no one,
studying the almost
impossible tasks
that face him.
4,863 vagina's expel
innocent flesh to breath
new members of the earth
new membeers that breath
the tainted air, of a world
gone sour as new hope is born.
The world weaves on
all around us as we
thread our way,
through the patchwork
of our lives, seldom
removing our cover,
to take a long look at
its intricate yet fragile beauty.
when was the last time
you stopped and just took
a good look around
at the masterpiece of Spring.
At the crisp beauty of
frozen snow and icicles
glistening like diamonds
all across the pastures of
your yards, your drives, your lives.
or the patchwork colors
of Autumn leaves
forming a mosaic
that rivals any painting
by any master from any
century gone by......
let us not forget the
beauty of Summer
Lying on a sunny beach
sand gripping your toes
surf singing a song to you
as the world continues to
move on around you as you
become more aware of the
infinitesimal happenstances
that await you there
your life will be much better
if you share what the
world has to offer
you will live like a king
and a queen in the midst
of all the beauty and
the joy you've seen
as the world weaves
on all around us
we are just it's passengers
we all exit eventually
and more get
and more get on
and more get on
as tiny babies.
tasking that long ride of life
to the other side
appreciate it please
appreciate it please
do not attempt to mar it
for there will come judgement
on those who do.....
