Infinity is such a baffling
amount of time to comprehend
it stretches without end
so far beyond four score and ten
and it’s lost in the past
of remember when??
life is so damn short
when you measure it
against infinity until
death severs it
And love though it is
claimed eternal
is only felt by flesh external
if love goes on it’s controversial
so we must treasure it
lest life’s dispersal
denies our love forevermore
But love is born within our souls
it comes sometimes without controls
it brightens life and heals our souls
of loneliness that pokes cruel holes
in our existence here on earth
and love begins when we are birthed
from other loves that time has merged
from Moms and Dads who knew the worth
of bringing more love to preserve.
So does that show that love goes on?
through endless eons….. now long gone?
Generations of what loves conceives
by carbon copies, babies that pleased
endless rebirthing, love’s sweet gifts
infinity must be a part of this…..

Perhaps when death
takes it’s cruel claim
the process is so much the same
as when we came into this world
down long dark tunnels
..........frail flesh hurled
all heading to a brilliant light
where life and love again ignite
Just passages through endless time
where on the other side we’ll find
that all of those we left behind
will join us when it comes their time
to face a rebirth they won’t mind
for on the other side they’ll see
all those they loved and eagerly
embrace their friends and families
knowing then that love was meant to be
shared by all through out infinity.

Perhaps heaven is a place we leave
to become a part of a womb and seed
to emerge and breathe
when we’re conceived
and share the loves
that our souls need
it is a theory I believe ...
Forming a pattern
God has weaved
anything less just
makes hearts grieve
but it remains a mystery??
if love goes on eternally?
which we won’t find
till our soul’s freed
so I will live quite happily
with all those who share
their time with me
unburdened by the cruel worry
that someday it will all not be
love should not come with such a fee
the patterns that have always been
love recreated makes me grin
all that we hold within our souls
is not buried in a six foot hole.
The soul moves on
and its essence holds
all the loves we knew
endlessly retold.
