She and I,
her loving me,
a guy and girl
both meant to be
much more than
just physically attracted
She loved my jokes
I loved her mind
and she could stump
me all the time
with simple trivia
my brain had redacted.
She was a teacher
I was an artist,
and we had nothing in common,
it was exceedingly rare
much like the stellar
love we shared.
she had it all
and I got more
then I had ever
known before,
love challenged us
so we both dared.

and we both came a lot
to the well our love provided
drinking deeply of its sweetness,
blending our strengths
and weaknesses each day
and never looking back...
two different hearts and souls,
Like Ripple wine
and fine champagne,
like fire and ice,
or sun and rain,
We crossed the strange
of unknown plains,
and built a love there...
that always will remain...
till time slips down the drain
and washes us away
together forevermore......
