Solitude brings an attitude
that seeks to pursue
a quiet mood
often embraced with gratitude
as you become far more attuned
to what you need calmer in you
or with disquietude
when your mind
becomes unglued
to escape the noise
and all that annoys
your ears and your
other four senses
you don’t need to be a mensa
to know it can turn the weight of
the world into past tenses
it is one of your
greatest defenses
which comes with
little or no expenses
bringing peace as
it commences
to soothe your soul
It cleanses...................
all the needs to be surrounded
plagued and hounded
by endless masses
of humanity
it helps preserve
your sanity
it eases most calamities
while offering you normality
and a new grip on reality
so just step inside yourself
and let all worries be set free
Find a hammock slung
between two trees
float there defying gravity
swaying in a summer breeze
Meditating to the
humming bees
and the birds all
chirping in the trees
clear your thoughts
of all that life has wrought
until your troubles are forgotten
Until your soul’s no longer
left downtrodden
your brain has the tools
not ever taught in schools
to free yourself
from life so cruel
solitude will help refuel
all that you need
for a renewal
till you turn and
face the world again
Eager for those things
that you still need to tend
all those many things
that you still need to tend
Knowing that you
always can depend
on solitude
waiting round the bend
he’s your mental friend
who will be with you
till the end
In solitude when
your life is spent
we all die alone
we can’t pretend
that the presence of
families and friends
can go any further than
being by your side
and their comfort
cannot be denied
but when you cross
that plane
to the other side........
but you will be the only one
who can intrude
beyond the boundaries
death brings you
as you once more
embrace solitude
Till your led with him
to your just rewards
to mingle with those
who've gone on before....
who know no suffering
and share no pain
once known in flesh
In death it’s drained
as your soul burst free
from all life’s chains
and there in peace
you will remain
bidding your goodbyes
to solitude
who has no just
cause to remain
in such a heavenly domain.
Where it’s sheer joys
are left unexplained
until their glories you obtain
for you see death is humane.
and so is solitude
so is solitude.
"Solitude can be
your dearest friend
to the very end
when it comes around
welcome it again."
