Fantasies seldom come
true for you and me
but they make our lives much
easier to face realities...
We all have
fantastic fantasies
that paint us
a perfect world
with no guarantees
they haunt our minds
every time they tease
us into truly thinking
they will come and appease
all our secret thoughts
and our wanton needs
it’s on what we can’t get
that our fantasies feed….
and some can make you bleed.

Even the poorest
of men have fantasies,
about something that’s not
from a dumpster to eat
and a place to take shelter
when it’s 20 degrees
in their cardboard mansions
where there is no relief
while they suck
down cheap wine
in some cold alleys
in some cold alley
So many girls who are pretty
head off to that city
that’s called Hollywood
cause some people told them
they looked real good
and they could be a star
but they never got far
and now they live in their cars
or waitress in local bars
where they dance half undressed
showing off ample breasts
saving their tips in a jar
so someday they can go home
and finish their lives unknown
cause all their dreams
were blown.
Other folks dream
of being millionaires
Living high off the hog
suave and debonair
then they work their
fingers to the bone
and wind up alone
old and gray
their wallets bare
and flat broke
on Medicare
in a nursing home
cause all their
“get rich” schemes
took everything
that they owned
Other hopefuls
only want to
be a U.S. president
and become the very next
White House resident
till every flaw in their
lives become evident
and they are facing the
media's devilment
winding up
with so few votes
from all that they spent
which leaves them
in unqualified
disparagement.
My current fantasy
is with a girl named Stefy
who shared one of her
most fantastic songs with me
and I’m hoping that all of
those who hear it will see
that it’s a number one hit
and very soon it will be
at the top of the charts
so that we both can start
touring all across the world
and winning everyone’s hearts
cause we both are pursuing
the musical arts
and listeners can help us
