I am a traveler
a great unraveler,
for folks in times of need
I do not walk alone,
I do not have a home
there are many more like me,
we wander but not aimlessly.
I have been here and there
and I’ll be back again,
If something unforeseen
comes around to you,
I’m there to greet it when
it seeks to steal your life,
before it is your time....
Before you board a plane
I whisper in your brains
to catch the next flight,
so that you don’t wind
up as remains on planes,
fated to tumble from the sky
leaving you wondering why?
you were the only one
who managed to survive.
I make some bullets miss
that do not hold your name
and I cause cars and trucks
to swerve away
from death’s cruel claims,
I’ve saved so many folks
from pain and being maimed.
But I am not a guardian angel
I did not earn my wings,
I was left on the earth to stop
what sorrow always brings,
I leave so many wondering
How some avoided death so easily?
the answers simple, it was me.
It is my task as well
as more like me
we’re here to guarantee
you do not fall to tragedy,
All human death
has been appointed
if I save you it was anointed
by the Creator in the sky.
I do such noble work
that comes with many perks,
someday when it is truly my time,
I too will travel from this earth
and I will gain my wings
up where angels sing....
And I hope I can meet
more of you in my traveling
but I have no control
over saving your souls,
when you are meant
for your last breath
you'll join that awful toll
of those I could not save,
though every day I crave
to spare all those who wind up
buried in a six foot grave.
But if I plant a thought
into your threatened brain
take heed of what I’ve said,
don’t second guess
that premonition
It will bring me
so much pain....
Flee from whatever was
not meant to be the cause
of your most cruel demise,
Don’t ever question why??
it’s why I travel all
around the world
so that some can be
saved from a far too
early death into eternity.
I am a part of life’s
great purpose
that you cannot see…
but when your
premature time comes
you must believe in me…
