until I ended up with nothing
but I cherish all those
sweet times in between,
when you clung to
faith tenaciously
making hard choices

through my flings with fame
and my years of misery.
Sharing breakfast and supper
from a cheap, tin can,

had to eat was "Spam,"

and we dined on finer cuisine.
