left me alone,
so cold and loveless,
like a man lost
in a blizzard,
with no coat, or
hat and glove less.
Watching your
shoulder blades
cut a sharp path away
from all that we both knew
Chilling my soul with blues…..ooo- oooo- ues
Your thoughtless talk
ripped my soul to the core
until I didn’t want to hear
your cruel words anymore
but then I realized
as endless days went by
that I was craving conversation
between you and I
even though I
don’t know why?
Your thoughtless heart
that bid us be apart
after our lovely start
brought me hard
lessons taught
from all that
I had sought
before you burned the chart
that led to your
lovely arms.
Well...I suppose I still
might welcome
your return,
your lovely smiles
even after
I’d been walking
endless lonely miles
but it would take
a lot of thought
knowing the pain
your love had brought
on whether I should give
your love another shot
after this cruel onslaught
and you should
be prepared
to hear me say with
thoughtless talk
