Burt Ward he is widely known for his portrayal of Robin, the sidekick of Batman, played by Adam West, in the television series Batman from (1966–1968),In 1994, he and his wife, , founded a charitable organization called Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions, Inc.,which rescues giant-breed dogs such as Great Danes and some smaller-breed dogs. Their work with the organization has been featured in such outlets as People magazine, ASPCA Animal Watch,[10]Hard Copy, Inside Edition, and Entertainment Tonight.
