Eric Staal addresses the Media and WLIE 540am SPORTSTALKNY's Mark Rosenman after his New York Ranger Debut a 2-1 win over the Columbus BlueJackets at Madison Square Garden. Eric Staal won nine of 17 faceoffs (52.9%) and recorded one shot on goal while making his Rangers debut in tonight’s contest. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Staal is the first player in NHL history to have played at least one game with three different brothers in his career (Jordan and Jared during his tenure in Carolina; Marc with the Rangers).The win gave the Rangers a a 10-3-1 record in 14 games in February this season.
