Geoff Blum enjoyed a 14 year career in the majors where he batted .250 with 99 homers , He played over 1200 games in the majors the majority of them with the Houston Astros as well as the Montreal Expos,Tampa Bay Devil Rays, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks. Maybe one of his greatest moments in the majors came at the expense of the Astros as during his stint with the White Sox, during the 2005 season, he faced the Astros in Houston's first ever World Series. Coming off the bench,He came up in a pinch-hitting role in the 14th inning of Game 3 where he drilled a home run over the right field fence for the game-winner. He returns for his 8th season with the Astros TV broadcast team in 2020, his 4th as the everyday color analyst for Astros telecasts.
