Johnny Damon was a MLB star for 18 seasons, one of the most respected and durable players in MLB history. Damon played for the Kansas City Royals and the Oakland A's before winning the 2004 World Series with the Boston Red Sox and achieving legendary superstar status in New England. In 2009, he won a World Series with the Yankees, joining Babe Ruth to be one of just a few full-time, everyday players to achieve World Series rings with both the Red Sox and Yankees. Damon has also been a member of the Detroit Tigers (2010), the Tampa Bay Rays (2011) and the Cleveland Indians (2012).
Damon was a two-time All-Star and is just the 11th player all-time to have 500 doubles, 100 triples, 200 homers and 2,500 hits. He had 2,769 hits during his career, ranking him number 52 in the all-time category
