Lenny Dykstra enjoyed a 12 year major league career , he was a 3 time all star a key member of the 1986 World Champion New York Mets, in 1993 he was the runner up in MVP voting to Barry Bonds, he was a sliver slugger award winner, In 1983 he led the Carolina League in at-bats, runs, hits, triples, batting average and stolen bases His 105 stolen bases (a league record for 17 years),his former teammate and friend teammate Billy Beane, of Money Ball fame once said that He was "perfectly designed, emotionally" to play baseball and that he had "no concept of failure."
