Thomas Henderson was Drafted by the Dallas Cowboys out of little Langston University in Oklahoma with the 18th pick in the first round of the 1975 NFL Draft. 2 short years later he started all 14 games. and evolved into a star linebacker delivering highlight reel hits, creating turnovers (three interceptions), and helping the Cowboys win Super Bowl XII, 27-10 over the Denver Broncos. His post football career is just as impressive as after hitting rock bottom when his addiction to cocaine led him to a path that ended with him being sent to prison in June 1984. There he began the steps to becoming clean and sober which he has now for 37 years, he is the author of 2 books Out of Control: Confessions of an NFL Casualty and In Control: The Rebirth of an NFL Legend and a 2 time winner of the Texas state Lottery.
