Easter begins in the shadows. In Luke 24 verses 1–12, the women come to the tomb grieving, only to discover it empty. They receive the message: “He is not here, but has risen.” Grief is a faithful way to show up at Easter. Like Peter, who runs to the tomb in the space between sorrow and hope, we don’t need all the answers to take a step toward the good news.
