Description

A weekly podcast introducing Jazz, Soul, Future Jazz, Future Soul, Dub, Reggae, House, Afrobeat, World Music, Disco and Balearic gems that arrive to my collection Sorry for my English. I'm trying to improve it.

The Swan And The Lake - Tinkerbell
Ambient transporter to Padilla's best times at Café Del Mar.

Smith & Mudd - Blue River
We continue traveling through the Balearic universe with a song by smith & mudd from the Claremont 56 label, one of my favorites

bokani dyer ke nako
Brownswood present ‘Indaba Is’ – a compilation of current South African improvised music and jazz – released January 29th 2021. The project is a collaboration with 2 luminaries of the South African Music scene pianist / songwriter Thandi Nthuli and The Brother Moves On’s Siyabonga Mthembu who act as curators / musical directors on the project.

Gerardo Frisina - Desencantado
Moving Ahead is Gerardo Frisina's new album after 2 years without releasing anything.
It has been difficult to choose a song from this sonic marvel but I chose the piece · Desencantado · and of course you will hear the entire album in the next editions
At last I hear again harmonic richness in electronic music fused with jazz

N'draman Blintch - Essika-Ti
Re-issue of the album Cosmic Sounds. Afro -Funk, Disco and Psychedelic, politically engaged, funky to death and full of synths

Osayomore Joseph And The Creative Seven - Africa Is My Root
We continue with African funk and high life. This time in the background Osayomore Joseph And The Creative Seven - Africa Is My Root

Watch TV & The Lovemonk All Stars - Wild Safari (feat. Gene Garcia) (Darshan Jesrani Monkey Mix)
Digging on my hard drive I’ve found this gem of my friend and partner Rubén Watch TV feat. The Lovemonk Allstars and this irresistible piece of tropical madness, a cover of the classic Barrabás song from 1972.

Fertile Ground - Live In The Light
The band evokes the smoke-filled jazz clubs of a bygone era while keeping its roots in the acrid sands of the African desert. The combination of soothing instrumentation, Navasha's rich voice, and elegant compositions catapulted Fertile Ground into a world powerhouse.
I was able to see them in the El Junco room in Madrid and they were engraved on my retina forever.

The Lasso - 2121
We finish this edition. I hope you liked it and see you all again next Saturday.

Happy weekend!
