“Le roi est mort, vive le roi.” It’s a phrase that originated in 1400s France, used to mark the passing of the old king, and to celebrate the arrival of a new king. Simply put, in English, “the king is dead, long live the king”.
This weekend will see the climax of the CIS Cross Country season happen in Guelph, Ontario, and it promises to be the most exciting it’s been in years, both individually and in the team race. With serious threats from the West, Quebec, the East and Ontario alike, could this be the first year that we say goodbye to the old guard, and welcome in a new king? With XC being as it is, no one really knows, but if one thing is guaranteed,it’s going to be great to watch. On this week’s show, we’ll try and make sense of it all with our panel of experts, residing all across this fine land, as well, we’ll chat with Chris Moulton, assistant coach of the reigning champion Guelph Gryphons and an organizer of the meet this weekend.
