"Being wise means living differently," Father Perry D. Leiker, pastor, tells us for the 11th episode of our Advent podcast, on the Memorial of St. John of the Cross, priest and doctor of the church. "God would speak to us and tell us that the wise way to live is to live the life of love. The wise way to live is to live the life of service. Jesus goes so far as to say, the wise way to live is, if you want to be first you should be last."
