"God is love. He loves us always, no matter what," Father Perry tells us for the 16th episode of our Lenten podcast. "Even when we sin — maybe especially when we sin — because he just longs for us to come back home. The worst thing we can do is think, 'He wouldn't accept me back, I guess I'll never go home. I give up.' No matter how far we stray, no matter how silly or stupid we can be, no what matter what messes we get into, no matter what things we do wrong — no matter how bad, how shameful, how evil, how idiotic — no matter what, God is love! Don't you ever forget it."
