"If we are so unforgiving, how could we ever expect to even recognize forgiveness when it comes to us," Father Perry D. Leiker, pastor, asks us for the 18th episode of our Lenten podcast. "Or would we think we're entitled? We beat the system? No. Forgiveness is a very deep spiritual reality. It's a great and mysterious thing. When we understand how to be forgiving, we recognize forgiveness. It's a two-way door: We give it, we receive it. The Father can't forgive us; he is powerless to forgive us if we don't want to be forgiving ourselves."
