"We are asked to check out the barrenness, the desertedness in us, the place that is not bearing fruit,” Father Perry asks us for the 23rd episode of our Lenten podcast. “We call that sin. The place that is not bearing fruit, it’s often a kind of an ignorant place and just emptiness. The most fruitful thing that we can possibly do during this Lent is to find our barrenness, the part where we are not producing fruit."
