"It's not just the information, the knowledge or the faith, but the vessel that it goes into," Father Perry tells us for the 24th episode of our Lenten podcast. "Which is why, I suppose, Jesus is forever challenging us to check out our vessels, check out the ground here. Is it fertil? Is it going to let something grow and give life? And we can't do that to each other. We have no right to. But with each other, we might find the strength to do it to ourselves, to check out the earth here, to check out the fertility, to check out the vessel. Are we vessels that will receive truth and knowledge and faith, and will it enrich us?"
