"If we wake up and truly put ourselves in God's hands and truly believe the Lord is close to us — the Lord loves, the Lord holds us in his hands, the Lord is among us — the Lord will nourish us this day, give us his Spirit, feed us with his Son, the Lord will care for everything that's happening in our life," Father Perry tells us for the 27th episode of our Lenten podcast. "And even should we die today, that the Lord will not be distant from us, but we will walk us through the valley of darkness, the valley of death, and bring us to life eternal."
