"Would that we could be a people that always understood the cross and its redemptive nature?" Father Perry asks us for the 27th episode of our Lenten podcast. "We are actually redeemed in the moment by being able to be compassionate, forgiving, and loving. Taking up our cross is in the moment today, when it comes to us. Pay attention. It will be more in the negative moments than the positive. It will be in our frustrating and difficult relationships with others. It will be in our angers and resentments. There's the opportunity for the cross. What will we do with it when the hour comes for us today, as it will come many times?"
