"God does hear our voice, and when we cry out in distress he hears us and he gives us what we need," Father Perry tells us for the 33rd episode of our Lenten podcast. "Our experience of God is something very spiritual and very deep within us, like a treasure. And this is where we have to get used to listening to God and speaking to God and reaching out to God. God does hear us in our distress, and he does want to help us."
