By Father Perry D. Leiker, pastor
"God is determined to be our light and salvation. He is going to save us. He is going to hold us up. He is going to bring us back," Father Perry tells us for the 35th episode of our Lenten podcast, on Monday of Holy Week. "He is going to reach into our hearts; he's going to reconcile us. This is a God, a God all-powerful, who knows how to love his people. This week of Holy Week is a week in which we are asked by the church, by the readings, by the celebrations, by some absolutely power-filled liturgies, to become determined. Determined to follow the Lord more deeply; determined to listen to his voice. Determined to be transformed and changed; determined to reconcile with one another. The proof of a real Christian community filled with God's love is that it actually becomes more loving."
