"God is determined to be our light and salvation. He is going to save us. He is going to hold us up. This is a God, a God all-powerful, who knows how to love his people. This week of Holy Week is a week in which we are asked by the church, by the readings, by the celebrations, by some absolutely power-filled liturgies, to become determined. Determined to follow the Lord more deeply; determined to listen to his voice. Determined to be transformed and changed; determined to reconcile with one another. The proof of a real Christian community filled with God's love is that it actually becomes more loving."
