By Father Perry D. Leiker, pastor
"When we feel that weakness, and when we feel orphaned and left alone and detached, and no one cares, and my life is in ruin — 'Take me, God; I'm ready!' — is the time we need to go down in our spirit and ask ourselves, 'What do I really believe?'" Father Perry tells us for the eighth episode of our Lenten podcast. "And the hope is that like Queen Esther, in her emptiness and pain, we would cry out, 'God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, blessed are you, blessed are you!' And in my struggle, Lord, in my struggle I cry out to you. Give me your strength, fill me; fill my spirit with your strength."
