By Father Perry D. Leiker, pastor
"This is about an idea of sainthood, about being saints, about being called to be saints. It's not something that exactly happened, or an event on a day," Father Perry tells us for our celebration of the Solemnity of All Saints. "It's like an explosion in you of total faith, happiness, and joy with God. And to whom does that belong to? The poor in spirit. The meek. Those who are mourning. Those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness. Those who are seeking mercy. All these people who are struggling, and serving others, and seeking for the peace that they want in life — but they do it with faith. They do it with hope. And they are able to rejoice."
