"The scripture often is trying to form us into a different people," Father Perry tells us for the third episode of our Lenten podcast, for our celebration of Monday of the First Week of Lent. "God wants to form us into, I'll say, Christian warriors; but just men and women who just live [and] love. And when we do that, what a powerful source in the world! That we go out and transform the world with godliness and goodness; that, it seems to me, is the power of these scriptures."
