"If we get desperate, then desperation guides us, and that's not a good guide, I don't think," Father Perry tells us for the 17th episode of our Sunday Homilies podcast, and our celebration of Pentecost. "I think that when we look at Pentecost, we have to appreciate what the gifts of the Spirit means. What if for the next year, not one day went by without our asking the Holy Spirit of God to come, to fill us. And so Pentecost, we do once a year."
