"Jesus is trying to shape us, to look like him. You are what you eat," Father Perry tells us for the 21st episode of our Sunday Homilies podcast. "And the more that we eat and drink the Eucharist ... we take into us Christ through the Eucharist: the Christ on the cross, the Christ in the Gospels, the Christ in his preaching, the Christ in his words. But we celebrate all of that here in the Eucharist, and then eat and drink; we share the Eucharist. We take the one loaf and become the one loaf so that we can grow in Christ and Christ can grow in us."
