"Broken by sin, we can be so inhuman and so unmerciful — even as God is merciful toward us," Father Perry tells us for the 37th episode of our Sunday Homilies podcast, for our celebration of the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time. "The best of all religion should lead us back to being truly human. And truly human would be this mixture of the human and the divine, that there's a Godliness to us. And what could be more Godly than to show mercy? What could be more Godly than to forgive someone?"
