"We celebrate an event that happened over 2,000 years. But for me, I wonder if we are curious how that child Jesus that was born 2,000 years ago can truly and magnificently be born in our hearts," Father Perry tells us for the third episode of our Sunday Homilies podcast, and our celebration of the Third (Gauedte) Sunday of Advent. "That's where it all matters. If Jesus Christ comes into us, and if we are bold and audacious enough to say, come, Lord Jesus, come' ... and we are not curious to ask for that, why should we get it? And if we got it, why should we recognise it? The people of the word today were asking questions. I think that's what Advent is all about."
