"I've come to the conclusion that what Jesus is saying is not that we need to be IN love with everyone, but we must love everyone," Father Perry tells in the 46th episode of our Sunday Homilies podcast. "He goes so far even to say our enemies, those who persecute us, those who hate us. We must love them. And to love them, it seems to me, means something like this: to want good for them, no matter what; to ask blessing for them, no matter what; to help them, if and when we can; to only want them to become the best version of who they can be."
