Fifteen years ago, my Entropic City album was released on Time To Express. It was received very positively. Resident Advisor described it as “amongst techno’s most compelling stories to date”, while Germany’s *Groove* magazine called it a “modern classic of the genre”. The album also appeared in several end-of-year best-of lists. Fun times.
At the beginning of 2025, I started looking for a meaningful way to mark the album’s 15th anniversary. Over the course of the year, I began developing stripped-down edits of the original tracks. Two rules guided the process: I was allowed to use only one additional sound source alongside the original track, and every version had to be recorded as a live take. It took some time to bring the project together, but I’m happy to say it was completed before the end of 2025.
