OBLIQUE is back with a triptych of tracks on his latest EP ‘CYBIN’ for his 3rd release on electrocaïne’s Y-Series focusing on the electronic scene with eclectic house/techno beats, whilst emphasising deeper feelings. The collaborative project featuring Maurício Goi Lacerda on guitar dives deeper into the artist’s personal life than his previous releases. OBLIQUE is currently the leading artist on the Y-Series therefore guiding the sonic direction and emotion of the series.
Born out of (un)conventional joint efforts between Oblique and other prime movers, the Cybin EP is a delicate collaborative and at the same time truly personal body of work, with each track covering a sincerely special moment in the artist's life from the past 3 years. A multi coloured palette of emotions and mirage evoke the blissful mental and meta-physical states of 3 distinct collaborations, three distinct occasions of capturing the expansion of the mind through sound.
OBLIQUE:
OBLIQUE is a Berlin-based artist inspired by the development of an immersive vibe with a strong contrast between analogue synths, sampled percussion and synthesised vocals. His music spans influences from his Persian heritage showcased on his debut project Argandiwal in 2018 using sampled sounds of iconic Persian and middle eastern drums. His second release Sun EP explores the genres further by taking elements of house, techno and breakbeat to create his own vision.
