Joel Hemmen is a independent Dj and record collector from the southern part of the Netherlands. Being hooked by the sound of the early 90's Joel started collecting records about five years ago. Inspired by artists like Kenny Dixon Junior, Pal Joey, Kerri Chandler, Glenn Underground, Jovonn, Callisto, Grant Nelson and Tuff Jam, this wax enthusiast is always looking for that specific feel good sound from the golden era. Started as a true bedroom DJ and record collector Joel's Dj career started slowly, but is becoming more and more interesting lately.
Last year Joel played besides some big catz like Chez Damier, Brawther, Jovonn, Gerd, San Soda, Roger S., Italo Johnson, Fabio Monesi, Just-Ed, Ron Wilson and played at club nights all over the Netherlands. 2015 was a great year for Joel with several international gigs in Berlin, Norway, Wales (UK) and Belgium. On top of that he had a strong start of 2016 with his gig at the infamous Watergate Club.
Joel is playing striclty wax during his dj sets and his sound can best be described as 'Easy Listening Underground House Music' mostly from US and UK sometimes mixed with the finest French and Italian House.
