Description

Acts 27 shows us that God is faithful -- that what he says, he'll do. Even more, Jesus is inviting us to ask some hard questions when it comes to trials in our own life. Paul was continuously reminded of the cost of obedience to Jesus and willingly stayed the course. Often, we're like the soldiers and sailors in Acts 27. Even when we hear that God is going to take care of us, we still try to find an escape route. We believe that pain in this world means God must have stepped out of the picture. Jesus is certainly always inviting us to ask, "How long oh Lord?" But he's also inviting us to believe, again, that he is better than our best escape route from pain.

Jesus does not save a people into his family to only make our momentary situations better. Instead, his life, death burial, resurrection, and promised return is meant to make us cry out, "Jesus is better."
