This life is a test
Part 1 of the Khutbah
Fear Allah O Muslims, know that Allah He created you to test you, to know that which one of you is the best in his actions.
This life that we live is a test from your Lord. Do you think that We created you in play, and that you will not be made to return back to us. Allaah is high above, all of His creation.
Do not waste your life and get caught up in the dunya as this will not aid you in passing this test.
Just as we study hard before taking a test in this life we should work equally as hard for the test of the hereafter. We only have one chance to pass this test unlike the tests of this life where you can resit.
We still have a chance to submit the correct answers as we still have time. Do not waste time as the past has already gone and cannot be changed. We do not know if we will reach the future so the only time we have is the present.
Part 2 of the Khutbah
Know that the deadline of this test is death! Allah says, “Worship your Lord upon truth so that certainty comes to you.”
Everything will be shown to you one day in detail outlining all of your mistakes with nothing left out.
Pay heed as the reminder benefits the believer.
Allah tells the Messenger to mention, “This Qu'ran has been revealed to me that I may warn you and whomsoever it reaches.” This Qu’ran reached us and none of us has an excuse.
This Quran is either a proof for you or a proof against you.
