I wrote this shortly after the Santa Fe High School tragedy on May 18, 2018, and have waited for the right time to share it.
On May 18, 2018 I was on my way to sound check in south Houston, TX for XHale Music Fest. During that drive I received a call from my close friends/family Tabitha & Shelby Sosa. Expecting the call to be them checking in about the show that night, I answered with my usual high energy/silliness. That's when they informed me about what had just occurred. I won't get into the full details here, out of respect. However, I want to say thank you to the teacher that gave her life to protect my friends.
