Seven is a highly significant number in Judaism. It is a number that is part of the natural fabric of the universe.
The are seven colors of the rainbow.
There are seven musical notes.
There are seven foods with which Israel is blessed.
There are seven dimensions of heaven.
There are seven days of creation, and days of the week.
And there are seven Divine emotive attributes, known as sefirot.
